My work reflects my mixed English and Persian heritage.
European Modern Art in combination with Persian geometric art has heavily influenced my work since I first went to University in the 1980’s.
I have an Masters degree in Engineering & Maths and I also studied Iconoclasm and Digital Art (my final year thesis).
Since the 1990’s I have created work in oils, acrylics and inks on paper and canvas. Most recently I have been working with acrylic graffiti spray on paper and with digital geometric prints, which allows further depth of expression for my passion of geometrics.
Key influencers are Carmen Herrera, Jackson Pollock, Bridget Riley, Brian Eno, Mark Rothko, Jean-Michel Basquiat and the many mathematicians and artists who defined Persian geometric art.
I have lived and exhibited in London, The Hague, New York, Paris and Sydney and am currently based back in London.
